What's the basic story line?
Luffy, the captain of a straw hat pirate (むぎ-わらぼうし )is a rubber man. He loves eating meat and his brother, Ace. The bibble card which connects Luffy and Ace, also telling the existing period is getting smaller and Luffy recognized Ace will die soon. Few days later, there was a news spread all over the world about the war between white mustache pirate (しら-ひげ) and the Navy Headquarters. It was all because of execution of Ace. Luffy was shocked about it and entered the war. But the problem was the Navy headquarters started to assault Luffy. Luffy did not had any power to defend himself. so he was in danger of dying. Suddenly, his brother Ace ran into him and protected him. This resulted Ace to die.
Are the characters believable?
Kind of, but not always..In Luffy's case, it is believable and realistic about loving his brother but it is ideal about the part that he is a rubber man. Also, Ace is practical about protecting his brother and accepting his responsibilities.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best), how would you rate this book?
I would rate this animation 10. I've been watching this animation for almost 2 years and it is not finished yet. The director Sato Hiroyukee (さとうひろゆき) is doing great job of leading the adventure. It is never boring!!>< This animation is telling you the friendship and how big the world is. If you once see this animation, I bet you will not be able to get out of the attraction of the animation.
One Piece is one of my favorite animations and mangas, but I'm not quite sure just how much of the anime you are trying to cover here. Your story line makes it look like there are only two main characters in the plot when Ace is at best a supporting character.
